Across the Narrow Sea
With Earthen Shell in thrall
The Seventh ascends in
Fearful cataclysm
Reported to have been in the Imperial Palace in Kartaga
The first quatrain is truly terrifying, given that our continent is across the sea from Kartaga.

Among skull and carcass
Near cities never free
Powerful Well of Souls

The 11th Quatrain
The Son of Fire passes
No longer are conquests
Or destruction his aims
Nor service to his Clan
High Lord's Palace in the Free City of Alfiok in Apertus. Located by the third generation.
A controversial interpretation of this quatrain arises from the fact that the Danavan name Son of Fire would be written “Ca Lai Brø Ol ”, the pronunciation of which is very close to Shalebrol, the divine servant. One of Shalebrol's titles is “Brother to the Moon”. Danavan sorcery is believed to be connected to the moon.

The 7th Quatrain
Eastwards exiled Dukes flee
And conquering as Kings
Exiled and first Houses
Both in thrall to Empire
Temple of Barias in Tenaril in Kranthor. Given to the third generation by the magus Adrieste.
The conventional interpretation (which is not questioned by us) is that this refers to the conquest of the Histra/Ankheras region by the exiled Dukes of Kranthor, who elevated themselves to kingships. Both Kranthor and the kingdoms of Histra/Ankheras were then conquered by Fontarbria.

The 22nd Quatrain
The Mighty slays scores but
Unknown he is betrayed
His sword alone survives
To be unlocked in time
Located in the University in Vinaria in Ankheras. Located by Garryl Taresadar.
We suspect this may refer to the legend of Taran Kun, whose name translates as “the Mighty Taran”. He is a common subject of Tibulani mythological epics. Tibulani legends suggest that he was a foreigner who achieved legendary feats, including the slaying of a dragon, who died in a cave from the wounds inflicted by that dragon. Artuli research suggests that this Taran was the last of the demon-slaying order of the Niban Empire, who lost his sword prior to arriving in Tibulanus.

The 4th Quatrain
From the greatest Empire
A thousand swords will swoop
To slay the Demon Lord
At the heart of malice
Located in the Temple of Korak at Barasiumar in Shanaras. Requested by Garryl Taresadar in correspondence after he had been told about it when visiting the tenth quatrain in the temple of Belgris in Karia.
Conventionally believed to refer to the thousand swords forged in the ancient Niban Empire to fight the demons. The identity of “the demon lord at the heart of malice” is
unclear.
An egotistical interpretation might be to that the Thousand Swords refers to the thousand veterans who swept from the far side of Fontarbria back to Ankheras, which events led to the killing of the Arok (not really a demon, but previously referred to as such at least by the magus Arnoal and certainly a malicious influence). Adrieste endorsed this interpretation. She also pointed out that the survival of the thousand for so many years during the wars in Fontarbria was remarkable and – coupled by the manifestation of Korak at Hadraden's coronation – indicated that Korak had protected them, possibly for the fulfilment of this quatrain's prophecy.

The 10th Quatrain
When Mandrake and Stars align
Their third issue rises
Eastern Kingdoms tremble
At a new born power
Located in the Temple of Belgris in Karia in Ankheras. Located by Garryl Taresadar.
We follow the former Bishop of Belgris in believing that this refers to Hemarl Matora. Six stars form the arms of Ertura, thus referring to Mictila. The mandrake is the emblem of the house of Tarashonis, referring here to Prince Bertan. The third issue of Mictila and Bertan was Hemarl. The Eastern Kingdoms may refer to Histra and Ankheras, which are “Eastern” by the reckoning of Kranthor, where our ruling lines originated.
